Supervision
You will see in my About me tab that I trained as a Clinical Psychologist almost 30 years ago and have broad experience and an eclectic theoretical base. One of my favourite parts of being a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS was supervising Clinical Psychologists in their work, which often was quite different to mine. I have a particular specialisation in trauma, loss and intergenerational trauma (through working primarily with care experienced, asylum seeking populations and systems) and have also supervised therapists and colleagues with different core trainings. I remain curious about what I know less about and will be clear about any areas that might require specialist or different supervision to what I offer.
I have great interest and respect for multiple bodies of knowledge. I encourage my supervisees to be self-reflexive in their review and consideration around best practice and in particular to consider power dynamics and view their work through anti-oppressive, social justice and decolonising lenses.
Please contact me for an introductory chat to see if I might be the right supervisor for you.
Currently I offer:
Individual and group supervision structures with clinical psychologists, social workers, youth practitioners, & other therapeutic professionals.
As well as workshops and training for organisations both as ongoing reflective spaces around embedding and enacting anti-oppressive practice and focused vicarious trauma work.
Andconsultation to other front-line professionals around adapting their work to best support traumatised and marginalised young people and their families.
